What if I’m buying a ring as a surprise?

We understand that it is extremely difficult to have a ring size measured, since the majority buyers wish to purchase engagement rings as a surprise. Here are the best options to choose a ring without knowing the finger size.

Using another ring

This method is not always accurate, especially if the ring used for size guidance fits poorly or is hardly ever worn. If you feel confident in using another ring, measure it’s inner diameter and match the measurements to the size chart below.

Asking friends or family

Unless you plan to keep the proposal a secret to everyone, ask friends or family if they know your partner’s ring size. Once aware of your intentions, most people would be keen to help you find the perfect ring. They could perhaps casually while your other half into trying out different rings while they are plotting the ring sizes and then pass it on to you without your partner knowing.
