We looked at the classic solitaire engagement ring then started on the ones with more wow factor (it was all in the shoulders rings last week) and so now the trilogy. As it happens, we at the DRC happen to have three beauties to choose from and you can see them all below. Before all that, let’s consider the trilogy itself.

Firstly, for those romantically inclined, the three stones, with a larger central one can translate into ‘ you, me and our love’…. Awwww.

For those aesthetically inclined, well, there is much to say for the balance of the design. One beautiful stone, especially so if you are going for an Asscher cut or Marquise or other beautifully shaped central stone, flanked by a diamond on either side. We’re not talking a simple trip of same size/same shape here!

Take the Fleur ring for example. What a gorgeous and different engagement ring that becomes when you place a Marquise as the central stone. Choose red gold as the metal and you have a stunner!

Look at how sharp and stylish the Aurora looks with an Asscher cut as the central stone, flanked by the tapered baguettes.

As mentioned last week, a trilogy engagement ring really starts to say ‘an engagement ring with a difference’ . There is just much more to them and they don’t scream engagement ring only. They are a beautiful piece of jewellery in their own right.
